Yesterday we got to roll up our sleeves and pitch at the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in Anchorage. The Zeal crew helped sort through tons of useful items people had donated to the ReStore whose eventual sale will benefit the building of affordable housing for people in need throughout Alaska.

We worked as a team to identify some crazy items from an old BB gun to a pair of Versace reading glasses, to literally hundreds of nuts, bolts, screws, vents, doors, microwaves and plenty more treasures, and then find space to display them around the huge store. We stopped for a lunch in the grass and enjoyed a beautiful 70 degree Alaskan summer day and recapped on some of our favorite parts of the trip so far. After a few more hours of hard work we were happy to hear that we had impressed the ReStore staff with our energy and enthusiasm and were proud of all we had achieved by the end of the day.

To reward us for a great day of service Mo prepared a traditional diner “breakfast for dinner” at our beautiful mountain house followed by our favorite game “Fishbowl”  –  a now beloved Zeal tradition.

The sunset may come late in Alaska but it is certainly worth it! We caught this beautiful painted sky on the deck of the mountain house before bed, and it was a great way to wrap up a long day.

Good Night!  Love – The Zeal Crew
